Jacmel City Tour and Bassin Bleu
Just a three-hour drive from the capital Port-au-Prince is the historic city of Jacmel. Founded as the capital of the French colony Saint-Domingue in the late 1600s, city of Jacmel is a coffee trading center. The city proudly showcases elaborate Victorian-era mansions that were rebuilt after fire destroyed most of the city in 1896. Heralded as one of the top eight Caribbean towns by Lonely Planet, Jacmel has much to offer, from mountainous waterfalls to pristinely preserved blue pools and from rich handicrafts to organic coffee.
Our first stop will be La Vallée-de-Jacmel, a mountainous rural area just 56 miles southeast of Port-au-Prince. From here, you can enjoy the panoramic view of the bay of Bainet, the Caribbean Sea, and its surrounding mountains. You will tour organic coffee and cacao plantations and see how they are processed. Then, you get to try pure organic coffee and cocoa, to your heart’s content.
Then we will head to Bassin Bleu, translated as “blue pool.” This breathtaking place where mountain waterfalls form pristine blue pools is for you to admire and to take a dip in.
These hidden pools of natural mountain-fed water are famous for their innate relaxing and rejuvenating power. You will also find local artists and farmers selling their arts, crafts, and fresh fruits.
Our last stop will be Cap Lamandou, a hotel located atop a mountain peak in Jacmel. As you get to unwind and relive the moments of this trip during lunch, you will continue to add to the memories while at Cap Lamandou. With options from authentic Haitian and Caribbean Cuisine to European and American Bistro selections, we believe that the excellent meal coupled with the panoramic view of the Caribbean Sea with keep you craving for more.

Professional and friendly service Professional service e with communications from junior from the start. The pick up was prompt and driver Ralph was fantastic and entertaining and had great soul. Everything was organised on time and changes made as I wanted. Excellent day out!!!! The only thing I was unhappy about which is out of the tour company's control is the local guides can be quite rude and unprofessional and expect 20$ tip. Mine was even less happy as there was only me... and he sulked most of the time. Maybe pick a different guide next time...
Easy to book, great communication! I had an awesome tour to Bassin Bleu in Jacmel from Petionville. Our tour guide Ralph was great, punctual and friendly. We were able to stop along the long ride to take pictures of the amazing landscapes going up the mountains. We were given time to explore the basins, and then stopped for food and art in Jacmel. Can't wait to go back and tour the Northern sites!
Private tour of Jacmel and Bassin Bleu Wow it was amazing to walk in the jungle to arrive to those amazing water fall... you have the big one but there a smaller one down the road ... the water was cold but good but make sure to have water shoes because of rocks.... go early to get good picks before there too many peoples :) if you have walking problems do not need to worry as the walk is not to long. Food was great and Ralph is the man . I do recommend Tours In Haiti to everyone traveling to Haiti.
